The following supplements can be taken in alone or in combination with each other to relieve symptoms of anxiety. They never cause dependency. They are not addictive. Rather than patching the symptoms, they deal with the reason for the symptoms.
TrypToZen
This is Casein Tryptic Hydrolysate.
This is a milk extract which is able to reduce stress and anxiety without drowsiness or being habit forming.
Take as needed for anxiety, stress, and/or agitation. For some it will suffice to take only a few pills daily.*
TranCalm (GABA & Glutamate Balance Formula)
This is formulated to support a sense of tranquility in those who may feel worried or nervous by beneficially modulating the balance between the calming influence of GABA and the excitary effects of glutamate. Designed to act centrally within the brain, this advanced formula features NAC and taurine (which research suggests may be able to cross the blood-brain barrier) along with EGCG from green tea, vitamin B6, and magnesium. This may be all that you need to treat anxiety or in some it will have only minimal effect.
I recommend 2-4 pills as many times needed.
Please note: Due to the magnesium in the product, too much may cause loose stool. In addition, you are taking too much if you are ‘too' relaxed.*
ZEN
This is a combination of L-Theanine and GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid).
L-Theanine is a tea extract that crosses the brain barrier, increases your GABA level, and creates a feeling of calm and relaxation. GABA gives a significant muscle relaxation effect. I find this to be very effective.
I recommend 1-6 pills as needed twice a day.*
Lentra
This contains high absorbable L-Theanine, Lactium (milk extract with significant calming effect) and magnesium. Lentra has a high absorption rate, so you can use lower quantities with more efficiency.
I recommend up to 3 pills per day. As you improve, take less.*
Kalmerite Glycerite
I find this to be a very effective herbal combination that is calm and relaxing. This contains lemon blum, passion flower, California poppy, chamomile, and lavender.
I recommend 1/4 to 1 full dropper as needed.*
Tension Formula (Depression & Anxiety)
This is a homeopathic combination to reduce tension and anxiousness.
I recommend for acute symptoms, dissolve four tablets in the mouth every 30 minutes reducing to 3-4 times daily upon improvement. Continue until symptoms are relieved. Take product at least 20 minutes before or after food or beverage. For ease of delivery, tablets can be dissolved in two tablespoons of pure water.*
The following are individual supplements that may play a supportive role in treating anxiety.
Quietiva
This is a homeopathic liquid used to relieve symptoms of stress, nervousness, and anxiety.
I recommend 15 drops 3 times per day and at bed time.*
Inosital
This is a B complex supplement that supports liver function. This helps anxiety by increasing the GABA level.
I recommend 1-2 pills 3-4 times per day.*
Taurine
This is a calming amino acid that increases the GABA effect and decreases stress and anxiety.
I recommend 1 pill every few hours. Each pill contains 100mg. Maximum is 6000mg per day.*
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)
This is a derivative of the dietary amino acid l-cysteine. It is a powerful free radical scavenger and thus supports the body's natural defense system.
I recommend 1-2 pills three times per day.*
Magnesium Glycinate
This is a natural calming mineral. The calming effect of magnesium should only be achieved by taking magnesium alone and not by taking a combination of calcium and magnesium. With the combination of calcium and magnesium you take the magnesium from the intracellular position and replace it with calcium that may be toxic to the environment in the cell.
I recommend 1-3 pills twice a day.
